Prior to her role as principal of Humpty Doo Primary School, Susanne Fisher held other leadership positions for about 15 years, including senior teacher at Humpty Doo, followed by roles as assistant principal and principal at Wulagi Primary. She first taught in Catholic schools and undertook further studies to develop her interest in special education and leadership. She has been a member of the Northern Territory Principals Association since 1999. Fisher was also vice-president for the Darwin and Northern Suburbs chapter and the Principals Australia Institute representative. She participates in her regional chapter and values the collegiality and professional learning opportunities.
