Professor Hattie urges schools to move away from ‘the old grammar’ of schooling

Professor John Hattie has urged educators to discard the old habits and traditions that have defined western schooling in the modern age and embrace a new ‘grammar’ of learning.

  1. I agree with John that students who managed the independent and flexible structure during remote learning
    demonstrated a high level of self-regulation, ability to apply different strategies to work things out themselves and immersing in very focused, and creative responses. resilient students were particularly aware of how they think and self-evaluated well. This also continued after returning to face to face work.
    The students were much more able to work in small groups and help each other. The classes became more a shared learning and being deprived of a teacher the students seemed more willing to WANT to understand the content.
