Currently have been working in the vet sector at a highSchool also have trade qualifications Tried to study at uni but found as a mature aged student you get belted by there rules and regulations. If you are a teacher you can do a switch program and teach design and technology in 10 weeks very worrying as it is a four year degree. These graduates are positively dangerous.Universities treat trades people like second class citizens unless you have a degree. Trade qualifications are a higher level than what you teach students. Furthermore the Uni I dealt with, there lecturer was RPL,ed to deliver the qualification by the same registered training organisation I deliver courses through in the VET sector. Our school. I had more advanced qualifications than the lecturer at uni and the Uni would not recognise them. Our school workshops are state of art the Uni workshop was out of the arc. There RPL process was draconian and and ridiculous impractical. My principal went into bat for me at a principals meeting and then said quit you won’t beat the Uni,s beurocray. This is just the tip of it I could write a book on my dealings.
