  1. Personally, when I was at School, I preferred and was grateful for the uniform as I didn’t have the ‘newest’ or ‘latest’ clothes and I actually hated free dress day because I knew I would be dressed different to a lot of peers. In the uniform I felt like I ‘belonged’. As a worker now, I have worked in places with and without uniforms and found benefits of both. We can argue until we are black and blue as to which way is right, however, they both are and both aren’t. So whichever way it goes there will be issues. Can we not have a uniform but with different options?(Different style tops/pants/skirts/dresses/ in a variety of colours perhaps? but all with school logo) Thereby giving students some freedom of expression whilst still maintaining a sense of belonging?
