Bucolic and sporting life attracting young Queensland teachers

Politicians and the mainstream media like to emphasise the need for more science and maths teachers, as well as the shortage of teachers in rural areas. Yet not every teacher dreams of working in a capital city, nor every student of studying on a big city campus. Newly graduated teachers Nathan Trace and his cousin Ashleigh Trace had, as students, their pick of universities but specifically chose the smaller campus of the University of the Sunshine Coast’s Sippy Downs.
