Metaphors are powerful tools. They can help us to understand more clearly and make meaning of complex things. One such complex entity is the tertiary education system in Australia. Stimulated by the Bradley Review, we ponder what this system would look like with such reforms as the lifting of student caps, substantial increases in participation targets and the promotion of a more integrated system.
