‘Didn’t you have the Down Syndrome test?’

Catherine* is on the bus with her son, a boy with Down Syndrome. Another woman, Amy* strikes up a conversation with her and they begin chatting; the topic turns to their children. Amy also has kids, none with disabilities. As they chat, Amy asks Catherine, “what is it like to raise a child with Down Syndrome.”
