PLC Sydney to ban smartphones, smartwatches for junior students
An elite Sydney school has joined the push to restrict smartphone access in class, announcing a plan for junior students to switch to ‘dumb phones’ by 2026
One of Sydney’s top private girls’ schools will ban those in Year 9 and below from bringing smartphones past the gate, with its principal warning “we still have more thinking to do” on technology in the classroom.
