Evidence-based whole school projects for student anxiety

Our whole-school community projects help students manage anxiety and build resilience. Designed for both primary and secondary schools, these initiatives provide evidence-based strategies through cognitive-behavioral lesson plans and teacher-led conversations.

EOIs for The Anxiety Project and Resilience in our Teens are now open for 2025 - 2026.

Research on student anxiety reveals:

70% of student anxiety is learned and that 30% of student anxiety is due to temperament and genetic factors. The good news is that most student anxiety can be unlearned.

Much of the potential for improvements in student well-being can be achieved through ‘challenging’ students to engage with problems not by avoiding them.

The significant adults in a student’s life - including their teachers - can make an important difference to a student’s ability to manage their anxiety through ‘seemingly modest’ interventions.

Our resilience building projects teach educators how they can implement simple evidence-based conversation techniques to help students build resilience thinking skills so they can take on life's everyday challenges.
