‘Constantly evolving’: The secret to Finland’s top education system

What a great read!
This is right in tune with what I believe. Finland is recognized as the best educational system in the world. Why, because it is about what is beneficial for children, having a good time in the process and developing a love for learning. What it is not about is grades! What an amazing idea! Making school so much fun and respected that people gravitate to the profession, and students develop a love for what they are doing. School becomes the place that they want to be instead of the place that they want to avoid. What a clever idea! Why hasn’t the rest of the world figured this out already?
One very important thing to mention: Finland’s PISA score is getting lower and lower, Estonia recently surpassed Finland in PISA results.
One country can’t just try to follow another. Cultural and historical issues need to be taken into account.
However, it can learn from other countries and, where necessary, adapt some of their philosophy and practices

As an early childhood teacher making the change to primary education, the structure and “inputting of information” is so different. We use inquiry based, active learning in earlyl childhood and the motivation of children is amazing. I often have 5 year olds who can complete 50% of the kindergarten curriculum before they start – i dont plan this its just led by them
I would love to see and be a part of this change in primary schools
