‘The future will be dire’: NSW Teachers Federation President Angelo Gavrielatos speaks to Education Review

The emergence of the COVID-19 Delta variant has brought the pandemic back to our front door and thrown the lives of many Australians into chaos.

This has been exemplified by the education sector, with both teachers and students, particularly in NSW, working and learning in trying circumstances.

Year 12s face their second straight year of disrupted learning and teachers have faced constant uncertain government messaging on if, when and how they might get back into the classroom.

NSW Teachers Federation President Angelo Gavrielatos joins Education Review to discuss vaccination, the plan to get back to school and the post-pandemic workforce shortage.
