Great idea, except that governments will not fund it! Having enough classroom teachers in schools is based on the ‘magic’ day 8 student numbers as it is. We have also had the ‘master’ teacher idea in schools, with the nepotism that goes with that. Allow schools to have teaching staff to cover classes, stop crowding the curriculum (honestly, do primary school students need to know history and geography units that were not taught until high school 30 years ago?) and allow teachers to teach the basics of math, English and science to bring us up to the mark that is expected!
