What is the role of school psychologists and how can they best be used?

There can be no doubt that schools face increasingly complex challenges. The demands placed on schools by society have changed. There is an increased expectation for schools to produce socially literate young people who are ready for a workplace that is dramatically different to that of the past. Schools face growing student numbers, as well as an increasing range of students from many different cultural backgrounds, and with more demanding learning and behaviour needs, mental health issues and exposure to adverse childhood or trauma events.
