Private schooling doesn’t boost NAPLAN scores: study

Background and birth weight have more of an impact on a child's NAPLAN results than whether they attend a private or public school, a new study by University of Queensland researchers show.

  1. Hooray! Finally someone has been able to link hospital data with school data! I have always believed that the Apgar rating of babies has influenced their cognitive development, but Luke has linked it to birth weight. Obviously the level of schooling achieved by parents then influences their value of education which is instilled in their children. And on we go…..
