Giving up sport a scheduling decision, not an educational intervention
Schools should not ask students to choose between sport and education when well-designed sport is itself part of the education.
Every year, as students approach Years 11 and 12, the same conversation recurs across schools: “I’m giving up sport so I can focus on the HSC/VCE/QCE/etc.”
