Victoria sends social workers into schools to prevent youth crime

The announcement comes after the Victorian government controversially introduced an ‘adult time for violent crime’ policy

The Victorian government will send ‘early intervention officers’ into 20 of its state schools next year to intercept the trajectory of students drifting toward violence and crime.
