TeamAUS Olympic Schools: Bringing the Olympic Spirit into the Classroom

The countdown to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games is on and through TeamAUS Olympic Schools we invite teachers to unleash the Olympic spirit in the classroom.  

The Australian Olympic Committee (AOC) TeamAus Olympic Schools program integrates Olympic values into classroom learning. The program centres around three overarching themes, strive, support and connect, and explores their application within the context of the Olympic Games.

Free to all Australian schools and catering to students F-10, TeamAus Olympic Schools offers a range of engaging, dynamic and interactive resources aligned to the Australian, WA and NSW Curriculums. The program provides teachers the opportunity to bring the Olympic Spirit into the classroom for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games (26 July – 11 August 2024).

The program is driven by a vision to inspire Australians to be the best they can be, whatever their background, interest or passion.

TeamAUS Olympic Schools hub includes:

• The award-winning Olympics Unleashed program where an Olympian visits your classroom
• Village Art where students create artwork to be displayed in the Paris 2024 Olympic Village for the Australian Olympic Team to enjoy
• #HaveAGo Sports Challenge, which encourages students to get active and try different Olympic sports
• Green & Gold Day – held on Friday 2 August, this provides schools an opportunity to get creative and show their support for the Olympic Team
• Olympics Live – encouraging communities to come together to watch and support the Australian Olympic and Paralympics Teams competing at Paris 2024

TeamAUS Olympic Schools recognises the role the Olympic movement, Australian Olympians, and their resilient mindset, can have on inspiring the next generation of Australians.
