Immerse in culture, authentic exchange and find the perfect learning opportunity with NT Learning Adventures

The Northern Territory offers an unforgettable educational adventure and is uniquely positioned to deliver on cross curriculum outcomes of sustainability, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories and culture as well as Australia’s engagement with Asia.

Students can join immersive workshops, guided explorations and interactive activities that make learning exciting. These activities help students develop crucial skills such as problem- solving, critical thinking, teamwork and communication through real-world challenges and collaborative tasks. NT also offers unique experiences to learn about over 65,000 years of rich Aboriginal culture, creating a two way learning like nowhere else.

Schools groups can engage with tourism businesses to provide exciting educational experiences, such as walking through the walls of Standley Chasm Angkerle Atwatye or learn about outback farm life during an immersive experience with Katherine Outback Experience. These experiences not only foster critical thinking skills but also equip students with a deeper understanding of sustainability, preparing them to be responsible global citizens.

You can also explore world heritage sites such as Kakadu National Park, Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Parks or dive into eco and astronomy with Earth Sanctuary Learning Adventures making the Northern Territory the ideal classroom in the great outdoors.

Understanding that hands-on experiences are the best learning tools, Tourism NT has partnered with tourism businesses, national parks, schools and other stakeholders to create an A-Z directory called the NT Learning Adventures.

This guide features businesses that are committed to working with schools and excursions organisers to provide safe, memorable and enjoyable activities to learn through experience and discovery.
