School readiness: why community collaboration is the answer

Deciding if a child is ready for school can cause some anxiety for parents, especially if their birthday makes them a particularly young starter. In many cases, spending an hour or so in the classroom with a new teacher simply isn’t enough to prepare children for the realities of school life. To ease the transition, schools should work on delivering a truly personalised experience that meets the entire community’s needs.
