How should teacher pay be linked to performance?

The Victorian Government recently released a Discussion Paper, New Directions for School Leadership and the Teaching Profession, saying that, while there are many highly accomplished teachers in Victoria, there is no systematic approach to identifying and rewarding them.

  1. Quite agrree with Dr. Ingvarson.
    Having been the recipient of a special bonus for one particular year in the late 1970’s, it caused a great deal of anti-collegiality and was immediatley discontinued.
