NAPLAN ‘an expensive mistake’

More than 140 academics from various fields have signed a letter calling for the end of the National Assessment Program – Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN), saying the pressure on teachers and children to perform well on the tests is narrowing the curriculum and eroding time for quality teaching and learning.
