Teachers lack tech competency

On January 19, Apple announced a new innovation in the field of education – digital textbooks on iPads. In true Apple style, the new iBooks 2 software for iPad was hailed as a revolution, with Apple encouraging K-12 school students to throw out their old textbooks and embrace this new digital experience of interactive books containing 3D images, animations and even self-marking quizzes built into the end of each chapter.
