Dr Brian Croke’s recent address on receiving the Wyndham Medal drew attention to the decline in the teaching of the history of education in Australia. Education Review reporter Natasha Egan then canvassed a number of academics involved in both the teaching and research of history of education, many of whom pointed out expenditure and other cuts had put the subject at risk.
