The best defence?

Most educators are now aware that cyber bullying is a term used to refer to bullying through the use of technology. In the school context, cyber bullying can occur amongst students and when school staff are subjected to online harassment, threats, insults and ridicule. Specific behaviours include repeatedly sending nasty or threatening texts, emails or instant messages; establishing derogatory websites; ‘happy slapping’ (where a video of a target being assaulted is posted online); online denigration; unauthorised distribution of private information, pictures or videos; exclusion or impersonation in online fora; and online vilification or defamation.
