Career change teachers with a STEM background can be a potential solution to addressing this problem. I am currently working on a research project on how to attract STEM career change teachers into the teaching profession. Career change teachers bring a whole new skills set to the classroom, particularly helping to bridge the divide between theory and practice and inspiring students to take up STEM professions.
