A space to teach, or teach to the space?

With the last of the Building the Education Revolution (BER) buildings soon to be completed, interest has shifted from what to build, to how to occupy these new facilities. Although the impetus of the BER scheme was to boost the economy during the global financial crisis, its long-term legacy will be associated with the influence that these facilities will have on school communities and the education of students.
