Gawura School, co-located at St Andrew’s Cathedral School in Sydney, is a coeducational K-6 school for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children primarily from urban areas.

Although located on Gadigal Country, it teaches a highly successful Wiradjuri language program. Education Review met with Head of Gawura John Ralph and Wiradjuri language teacher and Elder Leanna Carr-Smith to talk about this unique and highly successful school.
