EduTECH 2019: Incorporating technology “authentically and purposefully”

Although technology plays a key role in the classrooms of Stamford American International School in Singapore, the overarching belief is that it has to enhance teaching practice and not just be used for the sake of it.

That’s the key message of Craig Kemp, the school’s Head of Digital Learning and Innovation. He believes that far too many schools “throw technology into classrooms and expect it to make a difference”. At this busy K-12 school, a significant investment has been made in upskilling teachers so they “can use the technology well”.
