Revolution has its limitationsNew figures show the number of students in VET in Schools programs is on the rise, but there’s much room for improvement. Darragh O Keeffe reports. The total number of students undertaking a VET in Schools program increased by 25 per cent in 2008. School-based apprentices and trainees increased by 71 per cent while the number of students enrolled in other VET in Schools programs increased by 21 per cent. That's the headline finding from the 'Australian vocational education and training statistics, VET in Schools, 2008' report, released recently by the National Centre for Vocational Education Research (NCVER).
