Having been involved in trialling the NSW Basic Skills tests online for the NSW Department of Education and Training’s Educational Measurement and School Accountability Directorate some four years ago, the students used in this trial at my school definitely appeared to be more engaged with the tests.
    If only for the purpose of better student engagement, putting NAPLAN online may yield better results that the current mode of presentation.
